You'd be surprised what goes on behind closed doors my friends. The older I get the more I think I am the one who is not normal. It seems that many folks have these little fetishes and sexual behaviour. In the past year I have found out about two friends (they don't know each other) who engage in S & M and dress up, one male one female. In the case of the male it explains where his money went.

Of course actually killing people is a completely different thing but I think it is a progression of these types of activities as the power and need for new sexual highs takes over. Just my thoughts.

Nothing wrong with following the news and keeping current. I just question the degree of detail in the reporting. Anyone who really wanted to know the grit (shrinks, novelists, copycats) could obtain it under the freedom of information act. But our salacious press corps has undertaken to make it easier. Remember the publication bans on the Bernardo/Homolka trials? This seems to have gone by the boards. I just looked at the front page of the Winnipeg Free Press and I have to say, I didn't need to see a picture of this man in a bra and panties. That is totally uncalled for. Not that I'm defending him but this is not news reporting.

I think Ray's right on the money w/ his thoughts on the progression thing!.
I was commenting to my wife last night how the way Williams went from underwear thief to breaking into houses then on to assaulting victims and culminating w/ murder is something not to be taken lightly!.

Again like Ray said, these types of activities lead to needs for new sexual highs and seeing details of this Williams case makes it even more clear how looking at so called innocent dirty pictures online can lead to a twisted ladder of progression for some and all the more reason why Canada should make all efforts to curb the online traffic of perverted materials into our country..

As far as posting these pictures for the world to see as some kind of rights, this is total BS as the rights of the victims and their families should trump any so called rights we have to see this sick bastard in action..

Will anyone learn anything good from this whole case or those in a position to do something here in Canada heed the warnings this case has shown...probably not..

You have no idea how often I am asked to run. I see that City Hall has meals and snacks for every meeting plus nice conference trips. At Parliamnet Hill you get haircuts and shoe shines too. I think it would be a good retirement income, I might do it then,

Being in the media it's my opinion that there should be a publication ban because media just doesn't seem to know where to stop with all the details that are being made available. My perspective probably used to be unique in the sense that we get all the updates of what's happening. Not so now, once i see it there's someone going on TV, radio, internet, etc. with the latest details no matter how small. With 24 hr news it just gets repeated and bored right into one's brain over and over. The more sensational the better, but every little detail they can squeeze out just has to get mentioned. I don't think they need to report the details of the first victim's murder and what she said through the recordings the accused made. Nor do we need to know the details of his escapades involving the break ins, etc.. It gets taken to the limit and leaves the news outlets hungry for more, which they pass to the public which is hungry for more. These details need to be revealed, but to the court, no further. The court is the forum that is going to decide what is to be done with him. To me it's just not appropriate. We should relay the charges, all the facts, not all the gruesome details. I would like to see the media show some restraint. Then i wouldn't suggest a publication ban. I'm sure we need less law/politics involved in what we say/do.

OMG! I just read this thread, then went to the news... what he did and how he documented the brutal rape and murder of Corporal Marie-France Comeau, (rip)...is beyond any explanation or recovery.

This man deserves the death penalty... and swiftly! I like China for this, you are guilty, and the cost of the bullet will be sent to your family...I'd be willing to spare them the cost of the bullet.

I'm truly sickened... If I were M-F's dad, I would kill the sob.

I'd agree with Jetfan, unfortunately reading some of the audio in an article added no value to my day, only made me very angry and saddened...

Going back a few years, a friend of mine's little sister was murdered by Clifford Olson, and that p.o.s is still alive and torturing the families of his victims. This P.O.S is the next one that is gonna do it. Liberal politics allowed this to happen. These kinds of people don't deserve our sympathies, they deserve the gas chamber! Do you reason with a rabbid animal? No, you shoot the effing thing! Same thing in my book, you want to behave like an animal, we'll treat you like an animal. Shoot the someb$#@h on pay per view and give the $$$ to the victims fund or something, I'd watch it for sure. This kind of thing turns my stomach every time it happens. If it was my wife/daughter/sister look out, I'd be coming for my pound of flesh for sure, and god help whoever got in my way. furious

DITTO what you guys are saying! And one step further. I think that the police also reveal to much information during some investigations. It is sometimes very disturbing to hear some of the details of these type of cases. I can't even begin to imagine what the families and friends of these people are going through. Everywhere they look there is more public details of their loved ones murder on display. So how can we make a difference? No sense talking about it, if there is nothing done.

This is all people at work were talking about. It's pretty disturbing, esp since it seems he started all this fairly recently. What makes this guy tick? I agree that if it were my daughter who was a victim I wouldn't stop until I served "justice" to this guy. He'll likely be found hanging in his cell.

If we were to put our TRUE thoughts on here as to what WE think SHOULD be done with him, a lot of people would think we're just as sadistic as what HE was. Good thing "I" DON'T THINK THAT WAY! I know EXACTLY what I'D do with him folks, but I don't want any of you to think any less of me; then you might already that is! LOL! It's just so sad that nowadays everything has to be so sensationalized in the media; gotta get those ratings! GOTTA BE #1 WITH THE EXCLUSIVE! As stated above, Clifford Olsen is STILL torturing the families of the babies he killed and that's just WRONG! This is where it's cut and dried that CAPITAL PUNISHMENT BE PERFORMED! CUT AND DRIED MAN! The guy's a waste of skin and stealing valuable oxygen from others and those others will now have to pay for HIS sorry ass being in jail for the rest of his life! The only thing I truly hope for is he lives to be 110 years old as HE'LL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY EVER AGAIN! ESPECIALLY once the Victim Impact Statements are put into the file and brought out for EVERY parole hearing this @#$%& ever gets to have! That right there shouldn't even EVER be made available to him in my opinion.
This is a VERY touchy subject for anyone of SANE mind to even process let alone discuss. And an even sadder thing is, there's MORE of them out there that we don't even know about or maybe never will ever hear about because they ARE so crafty! I was just reading the CBC timeline re his activities. There is mention that he was put on suicide watch as he had made an attempt. The one thing I never understand is why these guys don't just commit suicide prior to killing anyone. (But them again, there is no figuring these guys out, nor can they be fixed. 25 cent solution...)

The problem with most murder suicides is that they do them in the wrong order.

I must say though that I'm a pretty tough guy and when I heard what the victims of
williams said before they were murdered i almost sobbed, it was so sad. (That word doesn't begin to cover it) I can't imagine how much more emotion the family must have felt when they heard and saw this but at least I know and we all now know that they died bravely and with incredible dignity at the hands of this inhuman thing that walks like a man.

Since williams is 47 right now and a clever psychopath, if the criminals he has to live with for the next 25 years don't kill him and he is slick enough to rely on the short memory we collectively have, he may very well be walking among us in 25 years when he is 72 and a "harmless old man". However, perhaps the very release of this frightening look ino the face of evil we have been exposed to by the putting on record of this catalogue of perversion well help to keep him there.

I'm trying to makes sense of this the same as the rest of you.

I have never understood why criminals have "rights", especially in a situation like this. To me it's simple. There are laws (as well as morals). You crossed the line. You just gave up all your rights because you acted like an idiot. Simple.

He should be put into population when hes inside. Not protective custody. I am sure someone inside would take care of him, very slowly I would hope.
Just my personal thought on the situation,but I forgot, we live in tree hugger Canada.
