Wanted: 65-66, Fuse box wiring clip needed


Just discovered I badly need a new clip and or harness for under the hood, at the connection to the fuse box.  The one that has the motor-ign wiring in it.  Anybody have one?  or know where to get one....

Steve, what is wrong with your's? Are the terminals in bad shape?

If so, I am pretty sure you could take each terminal out and crimp on new ones.

 Yours looks a bit fried.  I'll take a look on my parts cars. I may have one or two athough they may be a bit weathered as i don't have hoods on those cars. I think they were taken off back in the 70's as skidoo trailers, a common practice for quite a while up here.  The 65/66 hoods probablay towed well nice in the snow upside down.

The one picture doesn't really show the extent of the damage but you can see the melted wires,.... have yet to find out the cause for it. 
Yes, you can remove the clips and I was planning to add wiring to the vacant slots anyway when I found this mayhem. 
Since I posted this, I spent the weekend removing the entire wiring harness under the dash and hood, cleaned up the plastic connector and replaced all bad wires.  I had some spare metal contacts and it looks like the clip itself is OK afterall so looks like I don't need one.... just hope it all works when I get it all back togetherconfuse

for what it's worth, there's a 65 Chevelle and 64 Sedan de Ville in Calgary Pick N Pull.  You might be able to scavange some stuff off them if need be.  

Once you've got everything back together, let me know what you use to seal the connector (wires to the connector on the firewall side).  The factory used some type of rubber, but I'm not sure what would be a good substitute.

Thanks for the tip, I will try to get there this week before the snow flies... Always in need of other wire clips as well.  It does seem like a rubber sealer of sorts on the plug so thinking black silicone should work well.
