i have a water leak on the right side of my heater box at the firewall inside the car on my 67 beaumont convertible
Heater core gone? I did replace mine on my 66 SD last year . There is one bolt on the engine side of the firewall that is quite hard to access, as it is way in behind the inner passsenger fender. I just stuck a screwfriver in there, and kept tapping on it and it finally came loose. Needless to say you done bother putting that one back in .
Is it "water" as you say, or anti-freeze? Is it inside the passenger compartment or inside the engine compartment?

I've heard of guys cutting open the inner fender to get at the one dreaded nut on the heater boxes of 66 & 67 chevelles. Mind you this was done over 30 years ago when the cars weren't so scarce.
You should be able to remove the inner fender to get at the heater core. Are you sure it isn't coming from the windshield? Does it happen when the car is sitting or moving? You can remove the wipers and the stainless trim to see if there is a hole there. Try pouring some water around the window and trim to see if the water comes in.
