That is a sharp car. I would love it. Needs a price adjustment to generate interest though.

I can't see how that car would need to be priced any lower. Look at the work he did to it. He has to be taking a huge hit on it. Unless I were hungry, I'd keep it before letting it go for that $$.

I agree with Todd, our founding father. You have got to be @#$%!^&* kidding me. You guys do not think that car is worth what he is asking. Well then, i guess all of " OUR CARS" are not worth anything as well. Has it got to this point where we put so little value in someone else"s Blood, Sweat and Tears. Yet our own cars are always worth more than they are actually worth. Oh !@#$%^&* you no what i mean. Come to grips guys and accept that this car is worth MORE than what he is asking. I wish you the best of luck in selling your sweet ride to someone who appreciates it and pays you what your effort is actually worth. Cheers. George.

I get tired of explaining this. There is a price for what he car is worth and then there is a price that it will get interest and calls and sell. We already heard he is stuck with it. Sometimes people don't want to sell either. If the car was priced at $14,750 for example it breaks a mental barrier. We already know he has a price he will settle at, $250 less to get interest and calls is hardly a large price to pay. It is much better to have 5 people come to see your car and inquire than ZERO.  It's just common business sense. I never said it wasn't worth what he priced it at all I said was it needs an adjustment to move. Geez no

Here's how it works. I have a product I price at $10, it is nice and worth $10 but in one week I sell ZERO. My profit margin is $5 IF I sold it.

Next week I decide to drop the price to $7 and then all of a sudden I sell 6 of these nice things. My margin is only $2 BUT I sold 6 so I have a profit of $12. and $42 in cash flow earning interest.

Which week was better? Now If I don't care about selling the nice things I suppose the first week was ok.

how can he possibly go any lower!!!
can you do a full frame off rotisserie restoration for that price?

and i am sorry to say that but your analogy makes no sense because the guy is obviously losing money on the car

maybe his price was $20000 and maybe he already went under the mental barrier to $15000

You said he is stuck with it. Nobody will ever come and offer the listed price we all know that. I know nothing I only sold three cars in the last 3 months and bought one.

I didn't say he was stuck with it (maybe you misread what was said, or maybe i mistyped it, ---->this is why i erased the post)
I said, I wonder why he's stuck with it, meaning that i am wondering why no one is buying it, being such a nice car for the price

I can't imagine ever finding anything cheaper that's been a rotisserie restoration...

I had a '71 Chevelle that was a very similar green. It also had a 307. Not nearly as nice looking as this one (nor as good a shape.) With the headers, it proved to be a great vacation car. Super mileage as long as you kept the rpm's steady.
This car brings back some nice memories. I hope it goes to a good home, and he gets what he's asking. Only time will tell...
Very nice indeed.

I'm with ray on this one... what a car is worth is what it sells for...not what someone has into it. I don't think anyone challenged how much effort, time and money is in the car. It's a nice car, but a lot of things hurt the value, colour, engine, no buckets... Restoring cars is most often a hobby, its not an investment. We all think our cars are priceless, and if it comes time to sell it (god forbid for me, cuz that means i'm homeless and starving), we find out what its worth.

One thing I want to disagree on ak. Colour. I used to hate green. Now we have to look at the old cars/colours in a different light. It's part of the package.

I'd love to do a rotisserie restoration on a car. I would go into it knowing that I would be investing a lot of money and time into it, but I would also be teaching myself new skills along the way.
What does it cost to take the courses in night school you would be learning as you worked on your car? That has to be factored into the equation.
If you sink 25,000 into the car, drive it for a year, but only get 22,000 at sale, you have to think that you spent 3,000 aquiring new skills, and new tools.
Many people take courses for things they will never use. At least the skills we aquire will be used over and over, and can make us money occasionally.
I think the only people making money on collector cars are the ones that have had them for a while, or have stumbled onto a 1 of 22 basket case that ends up with a number of people wanting it when it's done.
