Ad says" A Great Cheap Car.....1974 Pontiac Sprint."

Not sure if its Canadian. I assume its a Ventura....does sprint mean it came with a 350? Maybe its original? I am posting this for my own education......not to encourage a buyer. I think her assesment of condition is out there, some of the interior is  good, but some is trash.  Dash and engine bay look ok (minus the duct tape). Cool shifter. I would guess it is american? It has a "Mystery Lake" tag on the back, I think its a body shop......maybe used to be a dealer? I hope they didnt do the masking tape bodywork!

It is a Ventura Sprint. It was available with the Pontiac 350 in 1974, Built in USA, Willow Run perhaps sold in Canada.

Remember that this is the same basic car that the 1974 GTO was built from offering a 200 HP 350 4bbl, duals and manual shift.

I had a silver one with the black sprint stripes.... Must have had some serious HWY gears, cause it went forever on the highways, but was a dog off the line. Some kid gave it to me because he was going in the army and his Dad wanted it out of his yard. Needed brakes , that was it. Drove it for a bit then sold it to a couple guys I knew that had a band. They went 'Cross Canada in it and two years later all they had done was an alternator. Wonder where all the free cars are now...LOL
I don't even have any pics of it...

I bought one of those SPRINTS brand new in 1974. It was my first brand new car. It was also the vehicle that I picked many speeding tickets in. I got pegged doing 132 mph in a 50 mph zone with that thing. Young, foolish, and no fear at the time I guess.  That thing was fast. It would outrun my buddies 1974 Nova with ease.
There is a guy in Midland with a fully retored Green one that I spoke with last summer. He has found a place that do a repop of the decals.

"A Great Cheap Car....snot brindle guacamole green....body job done by a monster....bring yer own chain....ONLY $2,000.00......which isn't much.....if you say it QUICK!" I too once owned a '74 Ventura after my Dad was done with it. It was originally sold at Forbes in Kitchener and had been a rental car when my Dad bought it. Had a 250 6-cyl. in it and was a bronze colour with that lovely black, white and red plaid cloth inserts. Was one of the best cars my Dad ever owned.
