This 65 GTO is a two owner, 91000 mile, original unrestored car. It had one repaint in the 70's and the motor has never been out of it. I bought it from a guy in Kenosha, Wisconsin where it sold new at Universal Pontiac. The original owner now lives in Belvedere, Illinois and I recently talked to him. He saw a 65 GTO road test in one of the car magazines of the day and ordered this car just like the one being tested. It has a 389 Tri-Power, close ratio 4 speed transmission, 3:90 Safe-T-Track with metallic brake linings, HD Cooling, Ride & Handling Package, Quick Ratio Steering, Rally Guages, AM Manual Tune Radio, Console, Tinted Glass, drivers side mirror and Custom Wheels Discs. I have the original Motor Vehicle Purchase Contract from Universal Pontiac, Extended Warranty Certificate and the Protecto-Plate. The color is Teal Turquoise with Parchment interior. The car does have some rust issues, the AM radio is missing, the non-power quick ratio steering box has being swapped for a power unit and the original fan has been replaced with a flex fan. I think we all wish we could find a car that was originaly built the way we would have ordered it, this one is as close as it gets for me.

PHS Documented, original WT code 389 4bbl, factory 3 speed manual floor shift, 3:23 Safe-T-Track. Common rust issues, has been stored and not run since 1996.

The red truck is a 41 Diamond T Model 201 one ton pickup that came from a farm in Lynden, Wa. in the 70's.

Yeah but the 3x2 carbs, the 4 spd and 3.90 diff come to more than that.  Pricey options....   10% of the purchase price.

Since I posted my GTO, I have found the quick ratio manual steering box, 19 1/2" clutch fan, am manual tune radio and an original steel 65 Ram Air pan.
