I love the sales part of the job, the counter, the phones, looking up and getting parts to the techs.

The stressful part is the paperwork, booking orders, keeping on top of returns, entering all the incoming parts, managing obsolete parts, finding space for everything while doing the above mentioned duties!

Yes, our owner lives in Dubai. We see him maybe twice a year.. He owns something like 10 dealerships.

Another memeber here and my close friend, Chader, is in service too. The pressure has taken it's toll on him as well. He's had to demand 4 day work weeks or else he was leaving. The stress was starting to follow him home and that has detrimental effects on family.

Not sure I could ever be in service as I really don't have the patience for people without some common sense. As the old saying goes, "You cannot fix stupid!"

On my lunch break. Today is insane! My first customer was a guy with a Sienna. He broke a taillight lens pushing his van out of a snow drift. Yes, he pushed against the lens.. Anyway I told him I'd be happy to order one for him. He went ballistic because I didnt stock one! We can't stock every part for every Toyota. He said he'd get one at "Canadian Tire". Good luck!
