Turpin has aways been a great respected Ottawa dealership.

They sold out this lot on Carling Avenue in Ottawa several years ago and now a mega Canadian Tire store is on this site.

Turpin then built a new dealership out at a new auto mall at ScotiaBank place (the old Corel Centre) and recently had the plug pulled by GM. From what I understand one of the criteria GM was using to cut dealers was high debt - Turpin's debt ratio was too high - they just built a new facility! Now an AutoMaxx store.

Turpin still retains there body shop facility a block behind the old dealership at Carling and Clyde.

my best bud from high school drove a 70 laurentian that his dad bought new at turpins. 350 auto, gold with a broken back on the driver sides seat. his dad always bought a new pontiac at turpins

Wow, a '77 GMC Sprint, wonder if it is still in Ottawa! Love those Colonnades!

Anyway Wayne, I thought you only bought used cop cars!

I have had many friends buy from Turpins and have always heard good things.

They were one of the two Saturn dealers in Ottawa, and for the last few years the only Saab dealer in Eastern Ontario.
