Yes, it was good to finally meet you Ken.

I'm still mulling it over if I need another toy, can't help thinking and dreaming of country drives on a summer evening top down. Must have been the snowstorm we stood out in for 2 hours talking!!

I must say for that price Ken, the car put back together would actually present quite well. A perfect buy for someone just starting out in the hobby wanting a fun driver and not interested in doing too much if any work to hit the road. And the 68's are always nice to look at.

I can think of a enthusiastic young fellow on this site who's neck deep in a resto right now who should look at it....

Cheers, Mark

"Country road"  I have one of them !  Mark as we talked about all those potential high end cars I continued to think what else I could possibly drive this summer for such a small amount invested-must be the weather to have me thinking flip it-I think I'll go tranfer the title monday and start planning to have it ready in the spring-I'm just still so disorganized from moving last summer. Great to have met you and glad to have the Mark/69 Pontiac thing figured out !

thats how CNDPONT/Mark described it ! something about standing back 30 feet !

I'm always willing to sell stuff-but this will be a cool ride with my wife and kids this summer if its still here.

Absolutely Ken...

Get the thing legal and drive your family to the DQ for some chocolate dips this summer(thanks Roger!), and wait see how the market pans out in the fall. Take a breather from the chase so to speak to enjoy some wind in your hair. It's a perfect car for that.

I am crying that I bought my Astre when I could have that instead... and I absolutely love my Astre.

My heart is aching... I love those cars. Great lines. Right color. Three pedals... four gears... Oofdah!

This car reminds me of an orange and white 2+2 convertible for sale in Trochu at Trochu Motors when I was a kid, it was a 427, 4speed if I remember right.

My 2001 GMC            was in  Texas                too far   got it shipped for  $750.00
My 2003 Monte Carlo was in  Connecticut        too far    got it shipped for $750.00
My 1971 Ventura       was in  Portland Oregon  too far    got it shipped for $ 1200.00

with all due respect

IF this car was on the next street from your house for $6000.00  you'd be all over it...

Pick up the phone and make it happen!!!

When I bought my car, I drove to Freeport, Maine. Stayed in a hotel overnight, saw the car, and drove back to PEI.
Then, weeks later I drove back down to the Calais, Maine border crossing, met the guy from Freeport, transfered the car to our rig, and drove back to PEI.
All to repatriate a Canadian Poncho (and not a rare one, at that). biggrin

I wanted to get Fred's aqua '64 Parisienne moredoor, but even though he only wanted $1500.00, my estimated time and money spent, were a reality check. I would have just taken it apart and used it as a parts car anyway. It would have cost me thousands (including the asking price,) to get it to PEI in the end. cry I wish it was closer!

Yes.....  on a parts car you might question the expense....

This is a running mint red Convertible

ALL IN IT WOULD COST ME AROUND $5500-$6000 TO BUY AND GET THIS CAR HOME. I KNOW OF 3 WITHIN A 6 HOUR ROUND TRIP OF MY HOME IN THE $5000-$6000 RANGE. I HAVEN'T BOUGHT THEM. THIS CAR IS A GOOD DEAL FOR A LOCAL, BUT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME TO GO HALF WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO BUY. I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE IS NOT A BUYER IN THAT AREA FOR THIS CAR. THE LOCALS ARE MISSING THE BOAT ON THIS ONE!
