Australian delivered 1968 Pontiac Parisiennes info

Hi,
I live in Australia and have recently purchased a 1968 Pontiac Parisienne,4door,pillarless sedan, RHD, B body (Fisher body),327 Chev engine. I'm wondering if you guys can tell me any info, details or history on these cars. From what I've been told they were imported into Australia as RHD cars from Canada using a 1968 Chev Impala chassis, steering, brakes, suspension, Chev engines, transmissions and rear diffs, with 65 Chev instrument/gauges. Is this information correct?
Some Chev guys here in Oz have also said that the Australian Parisienne is in fact a Canadian built Catalina????? Any truth in this?
Does anyone know what the interiors are made up of whether it be Catalina or Impala parts?
The car has no seat belts fitted as yet, what would be my best bet here......... purchase complete aftermarket sets from a 68 Catalina or a 68 Impala?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

This site will tell you a lot:
http://www.ozgm.com/

Also buy a copy of Norm Darwin's 100 years of GM in Australia book. http://www.handpub.com.au/About-us.php

Thyese cars were assembled in Australia from Oshawa, Ontario imports and used local materials for trim, glass, etc. Dash was the '65 Chevy trasmposed, and I think that year Pontiacs used the wider Chevy Wagon track but cannot prove.

I would say that the Parisienne was a more;luxurous verion of the Impala whereas the Grande Parisienne was the equivalent of the Caprice.
