Now that would be a good donor for my 66 SD 4 spd. Wrong side of the country.

Just drive it as is. That 194  six can take you on a lot of cruises without blowing the fuel budget.

I wouldn't feel right about breaking that car for parts.

Fine looking car; engine seems too small ( I remember the 62 Meteor we had - a big heavy car with a 170 ci engine that could hardly move it ) but this is nothing a 250 or a small block swap wouldn't solve.

RE: 1966 Beaumont $7000.00 Clean 4 dr (must see)

Somebody please talk me out of buying this car, or buy it before I do. I dont need another one, but this one is stuck on me, and is calling me in my sleep. It has just been relisted and I expect it could be had around 6k or less.(IMO)

Oooo, that's pretty nice!

Hmmm... talk you out of it...  ummm... that armrest on the driver's door looks to be discoloured...  the license plate looks a little crooked... ummmm...

Kinda reminds me of this one that was for sale locally 3 years ago.  I've never seen it around and have no idea whether it ever sold or not:

Hey Darryl.....geez if thats all you can find, I want it even more. I would go get it tonight if I had a proper place for it. Maybe it'll still be there in the fall, and I'll have a spot for it. I really dont need it, and cant imagine using it much, but a man wants what he wants. My insurance bill has tripled in the last 3 years since the disease started!

Hey Mark,

Thanks for pointing out the plate....I think the plate is good, but the whole car is crooked! I may try a low ball offer just for kicks. Classics are a tough sell these days, especially in our end of the country.

Hi Tom, a little off topic, but how did the header install go?

Also, that 66 has been for sale off and on for like 3 years now.

Pardon my ignorance but it looks like one car has a tan interior and the other is listed as a blue interior. Different cars I assume? If so, I like the second one!...

Hey Barry,

I had to buy another set of Hedman headers, I had to buy another starter, they put too much oil in the engine(had an oil change too). It was at their shop for 5 or 6 days. I got over them leaving the keys in it, and I wish they had taken more care about the oil, but I am happy with what they did for me. The end result for the headers is excellent. The new sound is freakin amazing! Phil did a good job with the entire exhaust system. I was just nervous while it was away. I have a new set of headers to get rid of as well as a starter that was new last year, but all in all I am happy, we just need some sun so I can put some miles on it! The bill was about $1300 ($325 labor) You need to see it, I would bet you'd like it!

I hope to raise a large building this fall, I should be able to store 2 or 3 more future projects, or drivers just like this 66. I just need to find the patience to wait til I have more storage.

Yes, the gold interior is a 66, and the other is a 67. I prefer the 66, but certainly not because of the gold interior, it doesnt go well with the exterior in my opinion.

Yep, given the state of the old car market, a plain jane 4 door isn't going to fly out the door at $7K.  It's worth a try....

Haaa, I never even noticed that they were different years!  Yeah, blue and beige do not go well together in my opinion.  If that '67 is as original, and as good a shape as it says it is...I think 7k is a fair price.  A unique driver for the summer.  (I'd love to pick up wagon in similar condition!)

PS  It reminds me of my fathers absolutely mint 4 door, slant 6, '67 Valiant.  If Dad had bought 2 doors instead of 4 doors over the years, he would have driven for free per his resales.

If the chrome moldings are all excellent and the sheet metal is mint it would make a nice parts car for a convertible or sport deluxe not at 7gs though 4 or 5 maybe
