Am I to assume this "GOAT" has a Chevy in it??? Wasn't the cu. in a 400 US block?? If so I think he 'de-valued the car . His quote of 30 to 50 grand would be for a restored 'correct" car IMO

...Carl and dualquad are right...unfort. very few people (esp, right now..) are willing to put down almost 20 large for a car in parts, esp. a GTO with a Chevy engine in it. I think he'll be waiting a while..

Anybody been watching Barrett-Jackson? Most people are being very careful right now with their $$ (but I still saw some "crazies" putting down some "crazy" money for stuff you'd really have to shake your head at....)

A friend here in town has a 69 "goat" rag top that the "engine" took a holiday about 25 yrs ago. They put a SBC in it. About 10 yrs ago they found a complete Pontiac 400 for it, BUT the 400 is still sitting outside right where they unloaded it, & the car is BURIED in the garage,all you can see of it is the convertable top!!!  Again it's like "cars in barns" I'm going to fix it one day,no I don't want to sell it!!  Thats 2 GTO's in down that are "going to the dogs" 1 Orange JUDGE[4 spd.] sitting outside, slowly rotting away,& the rag top inside but engine outside for 10 tyrs or more!!   DUH!!!!
