I never saw the engine so I can't vouch for the powertrain; something tells me it might have been a cosmetic badge as I seem to recall one like this on e-bay that was badged but was a 389 car. But that may not be the case here - I just don't know.

Yes. I saw it at the Atlantic Nationals in Moncton last year. It poured rain that day. The 2012 Nationals are going on this weekend.

did any one ever hear about the swiss cheese frames on the 63 race cars from what i had read , they had round holes drilled in the frame to be lighter.

Here's  a swiss cheese car I saw at Ames in 2010; prior to restoration it had been modified to an altered wheelbase race car.  One pic shows the holes in the frame, and the other shows the factory header. There was a y pipe for the single muffler installed at the factory for street use; the factory aluminum headers were uncapped for the track.
