Now the '68 blue 427 Biscayne above with the rallyes and the dog dishes, would that have come from the factory like that as a disc brake car?

If you ordered disc brakes on a Biscayne or Bel Air in 68 you got the 15 inch rallies with the small caps shown here. If you had the drum brakes you got the regular 14 inch wheels with the dog dish hubcaps or the optional full wheel covers . 

When I was growing up a neighour had a 68 Biscayne wagon, 307 auto with disc brakes; usually these wagons had 14 by 6 wheels but this car had 15 inch rally wheels & police caps from the day he got it.

I remember seeing a new '68 Chev full sized cop car in London ON. back it the day and it had rallyes with some kind of small caps or Corvette centres, and no trim rings,with the rims being painted body colour. Only car I had ever seen like it at the time, and I was mighty impressed. Must of been a disc brake car.

The cops in Toronto at the time all had slant six Fury 1's with very skinny rims. Yellow.

All of the Vancouver city police cars in 68 were 4 door Biscaynes with body colored rally wheels with the police caps. Sadly, there were all 307 powered. no
I remember buying those caps from GM for about $5.00 each to run on my cars, as I thought they looked better than the top hat style.

 Was gonna paint the rallyes on my 65, white to match the car, but not sure how it'll look.   I have the flat caps and a set of the sombrero caps, I like the flat ones.

Hey sixtywagon, I like the flat caps on the your '65 and think the argent/silver rims looks fine, body colour white could be a little too much white. Did you ever sell the '65. I think you did have it up recently?

I remember a burnished brown 68 Biscayne 4 door unmarked RCMP car I saw in 1970. It had a 396 and disc brakes with the 15 inch rally wheels in  body color with the small flat caps. 

Someone mentioned buying the caps for $5.00 back in the day. I was lucky enough to get a set of Beaumont caps  for $15.00 each a few years ago, but the NOS flat caps I bought in Barrie 2 or 3 years ago cost me $250.00 - and I thought that was a good price.

nothing shiney but all mine except for the Jury add...
66 GS is a 401 3 speed stick really rusty..fell in half when i loaded it sat in the same spot since 1979 in S Indiana
70 GT37 is a 350 4 speed from texas...
68  Turq Tempest is a one owner car i got fro Indiana
66 Special is a one owner granpa car...he gave it to his grandson and put it in a ditch the 2nd day he had it...i saved it from the crusher...
