This car has been offered for sale for a long time now. No question on it's quality. Very nice example of a low production Canadian only Poncho.

My best friend had an 80....always loved the Grand Ams until the FWD came out.

Nice shape, but seems way to much $$ for an appearance package. Just my opinion though...

The money on these cars is always a debate.  I don't necessarily disagree with you Mike.

A few considerations on this one though. First, how many were produced ? GM Canada has been able to produce figures on 75 GT's but to my knowledge not these special Canada Cup Cars. Apparently each GM Canada Zone was provided one or two of these models, I have heard as low as 48 made.

Next, this is an Ultra rare opera window Sport Coupe not the usually found louvered rear quarter window body style so the rarest of the rare.

Next, only 15,500 miles.

Does all of this add up to $15,500 ?  Given that we first saw this car offered for sale in 2009 at this price the market says not yet.

Of course no one thought a neglected '59 Corvette would have fetched $37,000 last weekend either.

I agree. I always say buy the best car you can afford but everyone wants mainstream. A buuyer would be way better off with this than a patched couple year older model. It might be expensive but it won t need anything other than cleaning and basic maintenance

It is a neat collectible car. Kind of reminds me of the 75 Buick Century "Free Spirit" pace car replica. I remember a guy in Sarnia bought one of the pace cars new and had it for a long, long time. He may still have it.

Now, I'm confused. I first thought it was a Spirit of America model but I couldn't find a pic so then I thought it may have been the Free spirit model. I'm still not sure which one it was. My friend was into Buicks back then and would always comment to me when we saw that car. Do you live near Sarnia? MorePower? I grew up there until my early 20"s.

If I had the bucks I'd seriously consider it. That car would be perfect for me. No work required. Just clean it and drive it.

I've seen this car on a number of occasions and its what u see, great car. As for the money he wants I would say its a good buy. Considering what I've got in my 61 now I would have to say that I would have walked away from the 61 and bought this. Jump in turn the key and go wherever a buck 25 for gas will get u.
