I wish that I could read the data off the plate. Note that it's a GMC T19 ..however I think it's a 1929 MODEL, and very, very significant as it was built in Walker Road, Walkerville, Plant. The cabs were built in a nearby plant in Walkerville. The engine was the 6-20 Pontiac unit. I only know of one other... Walkerville built Chevrolet rucks that year, and dropped them after 1931 I think, though GMCs continued.

I see where the chap is coming from: the 1/2 ton T11, which was in effect a Pontiac, had a 25.33hp L-head Pontiac engine, the T19 and T19B the 26.333hp L-head Pontiac, whereas the T30, T42 and T42D had the smaller, 26.33hp Buick ohv six, with the T60, T60S the 31hp (larger) Buick six.

A fellow in our local club sent me pictures 4 or 5 years ago of a Pontiac Truck in Edmonton.  Looked similar to this one, but not as nice.   Be darned if I can find the photo's now.

GM Canada also made a truck brand called "Maple Leaf", really an undisguised Chevy. This was in the years leading up to and following WWII.

Yes they are...the guy that owns them has asked me to help him sell them. When would you like to take delivery of one or more of these beautiful trucks?

Jim are you on commission? biggrin

The green 1928 GMC or Pontiac has to be rare. Does your friend know a rough number of how many still exist/how many were made?

Well.. I think my commission will amount to a big THANKS JIM...and that's ok with me, that's what friends are for, and no he doesn't have alot of history on the truck..other than who owned it last.he's a car and truck owner not really a car and truck guy...I thought maybe someone here would be able to tell us more about production numbers.
