64 beau front valance trim


Can someone tell me if thier front lower valance has a bend in it like the shape of the bend in the trim, mine seems to be straight across PO may have used chevelle valance??

Hi Mark, if your hood latch release is a rod coming thru a factory hole in the centre of your filler valance then its an original set up. cheers

Yours looks like beaumont to me

 

The beaumont has a hole in the center for the hood release,  also the beaumont has the slotted air intakes as yours does.

teh chevelle one is smooth all the way with no holes

As for the trim that is missing accross the bottom of your grill,  it is also unique to a beaumont.  the beaumont is cast pot metal.  The chevelle one is thin anodized aluminum

Thanks Dave &Dave the tinman we spoke yesterday (radio sd emblems) the trim has bends in it in the pic. the pcs are back to back about an inch at the widest gap. the valance on my car has the hood release hole in it and recessed spots for bolting it on just seems not to follow the shape of the trim bend.Dave heres some pic of the pits in the trim you said your left  pc. was good i think

Is their an order to assemble these pcs? I,m trying to but them on last.thanks Mark just went out and checked it looks the same as above air slot  hood release hole.my be time to walk away for awhile

do you think the hood release sticks out to accomodate mittens in the great white north ?...........already has oversize heater core !......hummmm?????
