I remember this one from last year. I believe they are rare. He was asking $5500 last year. Someone who saw it said it looks a lot better in pictures than in person. I would think it was Barry given where the car is.

40 footer or not that is a pretty decent car. Being so uncommon does not necessarily mean expensive. If he doesn't want some ridiculous amount of money, its a 4 figure car imo, that would be a neat car to own.

I always like these post cars. I was under the impression that the California Specials were US built and sold only by dealers in California as some sort of regional sales promotion.

Here's one from BC not sure if it's Canadian built but around the same price, seems to be for sale for a long time but looks to be a good deal. All the goods ones are out west probably that's a good thing or my yard would be full.

There's a red 68 out here in BC also that has been for sale or trade forever. It's listed on Kijiji BC and has been for atleast a year if not longer.

Those aircleaners are so recognisable, but notice the difference between these two '69s.

The top one is the known '69 Oshawa car, and the bottom one is the type I've seen most of the time on the '69 BC car. Is it just that the Oshawa car is missing the foam thingies?

The car in BC looks very good for the money. Blue car in Ontario is very sharp looking too. love the post style. And the 350 Buick from that era will roast the tires in that car.

Last year there was a 69 hardtop listed at a reputable car dealer (if there is one, lol) for around $7,000. Low miler, original one owner car. It looked really good. If it was closer to me, I would have bought it. I don't know what it went for, but $5,000 seems to be a common $$ amount for a daily driver.

Back when I was at the dealership I ordered a brand new shortblock and a set of Hooker headers for a gorgeous dark green 69 GS 400, man that was a nice car and it went too !

I know the guy who owns the car and its at local shows around London. He has done a fair amount of work to it and its a driver as he says , it is the real deal as far as the numbers go.

Yes Tom, it looks much better on the computer screen than it does in person. It's not a basket case, but be prepared for some bodywork. ( Maybe not as much as 65sssd's Conroy car, but then again, you never know! wink )

Its down to 12,500 or b.o. the market seems to be falling of very slow

The California Specials weren't anywhere near as popular as the hardtop or convertible GS's were and there were sufficient number of them GS's built to satisfy the buyers. There's a couple of C/S out here in BC that pop up regularly on kijiji etc. in the $5,000 price range and haven't sold yet and that's been a few years now.

Was the GS350 standard with Ram Air? did they have disc brakes with the 350 4 bbl
