That's insane! It brings back horrible memories of building those things when I worked at CAMI! At least it has a full frame!

once again I have to chime in. I have 4 of these little trackers. A couple good runners and a couple for parts. They have come into big demand for hunting rigs out here and this is one thing I have been thinkin about. Would be a little rocket. I am thinkin of transplanting a nicely built 327. Heres my main one that is daily driven

The guy who built that Lsi Tracker was on Horsepower TV about a month ago helping put an ls1 in a mid size Blazer. Neet idea. I'd get lost in the wiring though.

O...and theres a guy nere here who put a HEMI in a PT Cruiser. Looks kinda cool I guess.  But it's still a PT...

Don't get me wrong- the Tracker was a great little vehicle. I just have bad memories working on the assembly line. I remember a GM rep telling me the only vehicle as capable as a Hummer in the GM fleet was the Tracker! The did rust badly here in Ontario. It's hard to find a good one now.

I know it's not for everyone but I think it's pretty neat.

I've always liked the Geo Tracker/Suzuki Samarai. I have been looking for a clean one as a vehicle for my daughter (and a toy for me). Not sure what you'd put into it to stand up to the torque of an LS1. I suspect you'd rip the rest of the drive train up pretty quick if you really tried to use it.

I see the LS7 package includes a lot of beefed up components.

Ya, it was a PITA because of the 4WD in the Blazer.
