And, yes, as my user name states... I am a girl! biggrin

 

I have a 1967 Beaumont that I am doing a frame up restoration on.  We got two of them in trade for a 77 chev step side, and sold one.  I am on here to learn more about them... 

Just got the frame back from sandblasting, and powdercoating.  Now the fun begins!

My S/O has a body shop, so that is my project so I will quit being over protective of his cars!

Right now for our cars we have.. 

1972 Malibu Sport Coupe finished except interior

1967 Beaumont (trying to decode)

1969 Beaumont (rolling chassis at the moment) The engine was built by my other half.. 454 big Block pushing 550HP at the back tires... that one should be fun when it is done

1972 El Camino, this will be a frame up project

1971 El Camino, this one we will put together for a daily driver

I guess we tend to hoard them!

We also have a 71? Lemans Convertible in the field that is a flowerpot right now.. lol

 

Anyways.. hopeing to learn lots!

I met a girl at the GM show years ago. She owns the same 67 Beaumont that she bought nearly new in 1968. She appreciates a good thing! My late aunt bought a new 67 Chevelle and never sold it. I bought it from her estate back in 1985 and still have it.

 

I have been researching these cars for years. The Canadian versions (well all Beaumonts are Canadian versions) have some subtle little differences over the U.S. cars. I will try to chime in if I am around and happen to see questions regarding them.

 

Anyway, Welcome! Cameron from Toronto. P.S., where is home for you?

I guess I could put a little more info in... lol!

I am from BC. Living in the sunny Okanagan! In fact, had coffee on the deck this morning in shorts... love it! I will have to walk around and get some pictures.

I have attached pics of the 72.  It is the only one that is close to being finished so far. 

It is a 3spd on the floor car, all original matching numbers and all original panels, with no rust.  Even the floors are clean! This one is the SO's baby.. until his 69 beaumont is done anyways!

From the look of a another post it looks like a sd powerglide car. A-51 is buckets, M-35 is powerglide and the 736 is a Sd. I'm sure I'm wrong. Looks nice and we hope to see pictures.

The 72 That I posted the pic of is:
Malibu, Sport Coupe, 350 cid V8, 2bbl (L65)
A51 - Buckets
3spd on the floor - 4025 of them made.

It was built in Arlington and was in California for a while, we found it in a garage in Armstrong, BC where it had been sitting for 12 years. We traded our 78 Corvette for it and had it on the road in 8 days.

My 67 Beaumont we got from a guy up the road.. he has a field of muscle cars that are just sitting there rotting, but he is 'shady' to deal with... We traded a finished 1977 chev step side show truck for two 67 Beau's. They both needed complete restos..

We sold one to a friend, and I started tearing mine down.. so far the frame is just back from sandblasting and powdercoating... now it is time to start re assembling..

I found this site because I had decoded the Malibu.. and couldnt find anything on decoding the Beaumont.. almost hidden like a secret! Anyways, thanks to here, It is decoded!
