It looks very similar to a friends older brothers 57 sedan except that his was a 3-speed manual and had the white 2-tone down the spear in addition to the roof. He found it in an alley back in 1977 and bought it for real cheap. He repainted it and had a nice driver (he sold it in 1980 to another of my friends, then it was sold again in 1983). The kijiji one is much rougher. How hard is it to find patch panels for a 57 Pontiac? I know the floors and trunk are all Chevy and easy to find.

Patch panels are hard to find. Grab them up if you find them since they haven't made them in a long time. Full quarters are harder.

Is that a pathfinder or SC? It doesn't have the chrome spear on the quarter

Rick that is a great point. I wonder why this car does not have the rear quarter stainless spears? The Laurentian would have had those stainless spears. Hummmmmmmmm. The mystery begins. Cheers. George.

I do not see any holes for the clips that would hold the stainless spear on the quarter panel. Yet this car apears to be a Laurentian model because of the trunk ornamentation. Can anyone out there shed some light on this. Does anyone have any other pictures of this car. Maybe this car is a Pathfinder Deluxe and someone years ago put a Laurentian trunk lid on it. Hummmmmmmmm. Cheers. George.

Stop being a CAR RACIST. More doors to love. Four doors were the back bone of any car companys product line. With out them your prized two doors would never make it to production. Any companys bottom line was made with cars like these not cars like yours. I thought this attitude about four doors was gone but obviously not with this dude. I love cars not doors and i appreciate cars for what they are and not for how many doors they have. Cheers. George.

Oh ! but i love cars with 4 doors, those  are called station wagons...

To be really honest, i consider the 1957 pontiacs as cars with beautiful lines, but  more so in the 2 door version, be it hardtop of post models.

4 door cars of that era reminds me of those famous  Checker yellow cabs.

The hardtops have beatiful lines....the post models roofline is a little less flowing. I have had several hardtops, both 2 and 4 door.

I met the new owner of this car two weeks ago in Bolton at the ALL GM CAR SHOW there. This gentlemen also owns an older 30's GM car. He plans on fixin her up so he says. I hope he does because one more 1957 Pontiac on the road would be very nice indeed. Cheers. George.
