Big Block in a 64 Parisienne?

My question is this, did the 64 parisienne come with a big block option?, secondly if so how hard is it to get big block mounts for it, Also how does the exhaust rout for a big block under an x-frame vehicle?

All these are for some pre planing to try and squeeze a 496ci stroker under the hood.

a center dump BBC header would work fine, might choke off that 496 though..

look at Sanderson Headers for an idea....

I think we need to clarify the previous post. There is no evidence whatsoever that 1965 Canadoian Pontiacs recieved factory installed 396 engines. In fact our registry has a few 409 Parisiennes with March 1965 build dates in Oshawa. It is generally believed that Canadian Pontiacs utilized 409 engines through the 1965 model year thereby making them the last know production cars to use the 409.

Yes , it just another reason we love Canadian Pontiacs. We have never been able to find out why Oshawa continued to use 409's in Canada thorugh out 1965. We have never been able to determine why GM Canada did this. One possibility is the very low prodcution run of 409 Pontiacs, likely less than 40 cars,  could have made a change in 65 more troublesome.

Those hedders won't fit a Big Block Chevy, 389 455 was the US engine, BUT they will fit my 64 Catalina 2+2  How much $$$$$   Pete
