My "Free Spirit" includes the Y57 "Indy 500 Pace Car" option, however the only decal left is red and blue stripe on the sport mirrors. It could look like the 1/64 model pictured. GM documentation package verifies originality, current ownership in my name. Car has been off the road for ten years and in dry storage for five, but the leaking T-Roofs rusted out the floor and the rear panels of the roof. Car has lots of options, buckets, console, 350 4brl, auto, P/B, P/S, black out trim option, speed control etc. Only item missing is the radio. It has not bee started in 8 years. Yes I know I could get more than twice as much out of it in parts, but a car this unique should be restored. The frame was, and probably still is in good condition, the front clip is excellent and no serious work required body wise other than floor and roof. Yikes, it needs a donor roof section! You could scavenge a Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Cutlass Supreme / Salon / Brougham or Century Custom / Regal for that roof section. The Hurst hatches are known leakers as well.
I saw one new in the showroom in 1975 at Kerr Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac, Oakville, Ontario.

The 1975 Buick Century Pace Car had a 7.5 litre (455cid) V-8 and was anything but stock. There was really nothing very performance oriented in the Buick production lineup by 1975. The replicas had 350s, GR70x15 radials, and heavy-duty suspension. They shared the same graphics with the real pace cars. I believe that the 1975 Buick pace cars may have been the first to be retrofitted with removable roof panels, or a T-tops. They first appeared on the 1968 Corvette.
