hello I have been surfing the poncho pages here for quite some time drooling over all the beauties. I am a big pontiac fan, have a 87 TA GTA that I crashed and nearly drove into one of the many dutch canals :)

I now live in Israel & am looking for opportunities in the region to get me a nice pontiac. and I found this pontiac in turkiye advertized. Asking CAN$ 10,000 for it, He doesnt mention the exact type, so this is a bit of a quiz LOL

Yes, I would say Laurentian by the chrome trim on the fender however the steering wheel does not look like a Canadian version from 1968. The ad also indicates an engine of between 2.5 and 3 litres. Even a 250 is 4 litres.

yep, he didnt bother to allow us a glance under the hood.
in all those turkish ads there is that odd thing to mention cc within margins. maybe a hang-up of the site's modersators, no idea why they do that. Sometimes the owner gives an exact description in his broader description , specifics etc.

It struck me that there are quite a bit of Ventura's advertized in Turkiye, all in the years 76-78 range or so. Coupe's and sedans. Again, some looking pretty clean.
In Europe, you hardly see the Ventura around.

hello to you too:) it was my original idea as well . a Laurentian, yet you people have all those details that matter in the end to your knowledge that I lack ....

10k asking might seem a lot yet such a specimen would in Holland easily do EUR 10-14k and that is 14plus can$
top-shape american classics cost a fortune in Europe. for us, to live in Canada or USA is a blessing when it comes to having a fine old car.

the regular taxation on imports is absurd in israel; u dont wanna know. yet for classics it might be different. gotta figure that 1 out...

that TA GTA was a hard to tame beast, it was converted to manual with a leadfooted getrag, mated to the 5.7 corvette engine/ the previous owner did do all those mods
I have a family now and want a sedan - I rather like sedans, actually - and above all, a piece of art . The laurentian is, the GTA ... ah well, maybe... after the crash :)
