We have also decided to pay hommage to my old ACADIAN and are painting it Cordovan Maroon but adding a bit more black.
What color? Yellow-Red- Blue? I see all three lol

Good engine choice . I have one in my 56chev and really like it. Run smooth, dont leak oil and never wear out , all improvements over older small blocks. Mine is from a 98 truck.
Sorry Carl, Yes, technically Cordovan Maroon is the Colour. But a local restore shop here Relics "fiddled" with the PPG/Ditzer code colour and leaned it a little more to a " Cherry Coke" side of the Maroon. Still has that Maroon look but slightly darker. Will post the cards when I get them scanned. Randy thanks for the input glad to hear someone else finds it a good choice. Darryl, if Spring does not get here soon the cottage wont be open until the long weekend in July.
