Canadian Tire ordered in white walls for my last Cadillac Deville, real narrow white wall and huge tire, 225/60/16, they were Michelins too. Canadian Tire is actually a very good place to purchase tires imo, they are priced very aggressively as well, even on special orders. Come to think of it they ordered in my BFG Radial TA's I am running on the LeMans too. When your tires come they could be branded B F Goodrich, same company as Michelin.
I have a set of 195/75R14 Firestone FR480s on my Chevelle. With the correct 3/8" whitewall 1" from the bead they look correct for the car but radial in design. They are literally a replacement for the original 7.75-14 or F78-14 size. As to where to buy, I bought mine from Firestone... back in 1992. The treads are like new but you know what they say about old rubber. I don't see any cracks but I'm aware of the effects of time.
I'm surprised that the FR380 model tires are still available. I say get them while you can. They will carry them as long as they sell, but I'll bet they don't sell many now.

Active Green & Ross told me they could get the P225/75R15 1"ww for my 69 Buick. ( about $80 each ) Do you have AG&R in BC.
CTC also has their SE line with about a 3/4" or 1" ww. Sometimes you have to have the clerk actually check the tires in the stock room as the placard on the wall isn't always factual.
I'm really surprised that Coker tire couldn't help.

Please do not put "non-brand" name tires on your mint car Please
I keep hearing that if your tires are 5 yrs. old you should replace them!!!! The rubber on my 64 catalina is 10 yrs.+ tread is perfect, no cracking on side walls. I think the tire Co's. put out this "scare" to sell more rubber. You have to check the "date" on new tires as well because they could have "sat' in the warehouse for a few yrs. & your "NEW" tires are 3 yrs. old. If your vehicle doesn't sit out in the sun, & only driven in the summer, IMO I think you can extend the life of the tires "greatly" [burnouts not included]

I asked the question about how long tires last to 2 reps at 2 different tire dealers ( Coker and Universal ) last fall at Hershey. Specifically with regard to their new WWW radials. Both said there was no set time and it was a matter of wear and exposure to the elements. Both indicated that the rubber with stiffen and crack as it ages. Both indicated that the thumbnail test was what they used. Push your thumbnail into both the sidewall and the tread and if it feels spongey and soft then its still good. If hard and brittle then time to think about replacing. I also asked if they might do anything different during the manufacturing of these limited use tires so that they would last longer, given they are specifically for our older cars. No, same manufacturing process.
getting the Canadian tire brand funny one store had them on sale for $60 a tire and on other one wanted $110 !! so i went for the $60 ones
Good buy
Bet you're not the type who thinks he has to wear only clothes with the Nike swoosh, or the alligator or ........... what ever is being marketted as upscale and "in".
Just last year I decided to replace my +20 yr old tires. The sidewalls were "sticky" and clearly they had "timed out". Looking back, I think I got my money's worth out of them LOL!

well crappy tire strikes again, they said they had them then aftr waiting for an hour they said they only had one white wall and it was a 197/75 14 which is probably slightly too tall Im going to wait till the langley Cruise-in and see what so of the manufactures displays are.
