The data tag will narrow it down to month and week but not day.  My package for my 69 Beaumont gave me production date and shipping date. In my case production date was may 20th of 69 and shipping date  the next day may 21st. My cowl tag shows build date of 5C so is correct for my dates. Third week of May. Not sure why they did not give you that info on yout GM package.

I could post my build sheet but I noticed all the info is already on the registry.
Someone spotted my car at the Autofest 2010, Carshow in Oshawa and took all my info for the registry.
I hope I will get some time tomorrow to take a pic of the firewall data plate and post it.

it is a 70 ,but it was built in late 1969 as a 70 model

yep heres your calandar , yours was shipped Oct. 24th (a friday)so likely built just before that ,im going to guess your cowl tag says 10C or 10D for the week code ,likely 10C because the bodies were built a few days before final assembly

(so theres 3 dates really ,body build date,assembly date ,shipping date)

You got it the Tag says, ST-70 / 142 / WRM, 600906 BDY, TR732, PNT-75 75, 10C

The Tag has alot of paint on it. It is very difficult to read.
What would be the best way to clean that paint off without damaging the aluminum plate?>>>>>chemical paint stripper???
