no harm taken  1 quick 67 .... just venting on the whole situation and quite frankly , didnt mean to blow up on you personally, i think i am just really tired of the phone ringing off the hook and answering all the silly questions, man when is someone going to wake up here, like the old saying goes cash talks   and  B.S. walks , and there has been a lot of walking B.S.  LOL, cheers

hey carl, i also collect old winchesters, quick story,, and lesson learned. i was about 20 years old and had a great opertunity to buy a 1885 model for well under its value, at the time i didnt care for them,  an old fellow asked me why i didnt want it, i simply said i didnt like it. He then replied, YOU WILL WHEN YOU GET OLDER AND GROW UP! well guess what he was right! i kick my self every day that he didnt talk more sence into me or buy it for me and hold on to it till i was old enough to really know its true value and apreciate it. that rifle now is worth tens of thousands of dollars and i cant and will not be able to buy one. this story is not made up and is a true story! by the way the old fellows name was Eric lynd he still lives near london ontario, and he still has some 1885 rifles, i was just simply too young and unexperienced to know any better... wink wink.....

I know, Jeremy. If it was a matter of being able to buy 2 cars, we would already be arranging shipping. Fact is, I bought my wife a 97 Trans Am convert this summer as an anniversary gift. She has wanted a T/A ragtop since she first saw a 94 T/A convert, white on white. I had money saved for 2 cars, so that was one of them. Do I wish right now that I hadn't done it? Yes, but that is strictly greed on my part. I am blessed to be married to an amazing woman who often gets no anniversary or birthday gift from me, and she never complains about that.

The money for the other car is reserved for the number one choice on my list and guess what came up for sale in the last 24 hours???!!! I am waiting to hear back from the seller so I can go check it out.

And by the way, about 10 years ago I almost sold my 65 SD. Fake68 on this forum can take credit for talking me out of it, thankfully.

I had it all figured out. Buy the SD, sell the 67 SS and I'd be money ahead...

Carl, I wish you would have bought this car because it is killing me seeing a smoken deal like this out there on a silver plater and no one stepping up. All I have to do is sell my laker front property in Parry Sound and then I can buy it.My friend had one when we were teens and this one brings back memories.

I've been following this thread since you posted the car for sale... I really like it!! If I had a few more old cars in my garage, they would be a 66 acadian sd in black, a 57 bel air and 67 beaumont convertible... (that's the bucket list!!lol)...

Looks like a nice car to drive at the price! and an SD on top of it all!! All the best with the sale, is it gone yet?

I've been trying to sell some dslr camera stuff on kijiji and i get so many tire kickers and those that will "pick up tomorrow" and are never seen from again! ...its frustrating!

You are right, someone got a great deal. I am surprised you easterners didn't have that scooped up quicker than that. I think there would have been a line up at the door if it was out west. I could of well been in the line too. Glad it went to good people and life goes on.

I'm happy for you Jeremy. I echo that, someone bought in to a rare car at an excellent price. Good for you ( he says with a tear in his eye...)

I'm surprised it took this long to sell this car. Guess Johnee D missed out again!!! Think he may be collecting "pictures" of Cars for Sale!!!! No doubt about the tire kickers & no shows & lowball offers or trades. Had all of them on wifes 06 Vibe add on Kijiji, & still getting Emails for trades a mth. 1/2 after add cancelled!!!Sounds as if new owners will take care of it & hopefully end up here as well.
