40's model car with operational powertrain.

I'd love to own this.......but I'd also love to keep my $2500.

This wonder of machinist creativity in miniture hosts a fully operational motor and drive train. When set in motion the the crank turns, moving a cam shaft and valve train. It has an operational clutch which transfers movement to the cut away rear end through a cut away three speed transmission (with reverse). It has 4 wheel mechanical brakes, emergency brake and operational steering; all this is in working condition. It also has a fully operational electrical system including brake lights, head lights and signal lights. The electrical system is currently not working. It measures 36" long, 12" high and 12" wide exclusive of base. I have owned it for approximately 20 yrs and it is time for it to find a new home. Don't miss out on this little jewel of motoring history.

That is cool, but I wonder if it originally had more of it's body.

Looks to me like a cut away for a school. Would show the sudents path of power and shows the internal workings of the parts. I work in a military automotive school and we have a few cutaways similar to that. One is a jeep.  It's probably complete.

Our auto shop had that on display back in high school. Ours worked as well. The school closed in my senior year and my shop teacher took it as a momento. By the looks of things, that was $2400 ago.
