It would cost more than half of that just to build that motor. That car needs to be bought and taken to a good home.

 Haha, sorry Pete!!! I have always been known for doing the Canadian Poncho's and big blocks. I got away from that years ago, tried one US car and never finished it. It was a battle building that engine because it was all new to me. Doing the Canuck powertrains is like wearing a pair of comfy old shoes! No hurt intended, they're just no "me"!

I love the look and all that of the US cars but there's just something about a Canadian Poncho...

Think we can still be friends?????

 OH, I guess so!!!!  I know what you mean on the US engine, I've done a lot of SBC over the years, when I got into the 389 after I bought it & found a dead cyl.[ ended w/broken piston] it was a "whole " new world. Principle the same, but F/pump drive is "weird", valley pan under the intake, & the heads are REALLY heavy when you go to lift them off!!! Think the piston broke on start up as car was stored for 12 yrs. b-4 I got it!! 46000 mi then in 2001, now has 79000 on her, yep!! I drive it.

Pascal, that "cheatin" you got to have one of each!!!!! Don't you, or did I mess up having two????

 And to continue, distributor spins backwards, #2 journal is on the front of the crankshaft, and that whole water pump/timing cover setup is very difficult. Can't beat a Canadian Pontiac big block or small block for simplicity.
