1952 Canadian Made 2 Door Pontiac, Model 2211, for sale

Greetings, For Sale, 1952 Canadian Made 2 Door Pontiac, Model 2211. This is a restoration project, it DOES NOT run, and has not run since around late 1960's early 1970's. It is an original BC car, brought it down from Vernon where it spent its' whole life before I got it, ...it was originally purchased in Kelowna. Odometer reads 47,000... I cannot verify if it has or has not turned, but the previous owner was very convincing when he said those were original miles. This is ALL ORIGINAL, unmolested, never in an accident, this is an extremely rare car. I have owned this for around 10 years and have accumulated lots and lots of NOS, NORS, and used parts for this car. Please look at the pictures, serious inquiries ONLY, I am looking for someone who will finish what I started and appreciate this car for what it is, ...that is all for now, thanks for looking and I look forward to responding to your emails, many thanks! I'd like to see $5000 for this.  I am in Lower Mainland BC, Photobucket link is,

Okay guys, ...help me out please, ...clearly no-one from this club will be buying this, which means I have to advertise on a larger scale, ...but tell me what you think, ...if you were going to take over this project how much would you pay, ...I seriously think @ $5000 this is a great deal, am I out to lunch on the asking price???? The car has to go so it will be getting listed on eBay soon and I need to know if my price is realistic. Hoping for a response or two, thanks!

I'd pay 5k for your car and all your parts if it weren't for the Firebird parked in my garage..

Being you are asking for an opinion I will share my thoughts. You probably are not out of line with your price for that car but the number of people looking for that year and style of car is dwindling. Having not run for 40 years it obviously will need some work just to have it run and then if you want to restore it or just keep it looking like an original. When all is said and done after that what is that car going to pull? As we get older the next generations are moving up to the 60's and 70's as they are a little more driver and trip friendly. Boils down to you have to find that one person who has a connection to a similar car to that and you will probably get your money for it but it may well involve some good advertising which you have indicated. I am surprised how in the U.S.A. there is still a really large following for the oldies. Recently on my trip to Hershey a sizeable amount of the vendors featured Model A, Packard, Hupmobile and models of that vintage so there still is a strong market for them. Anyhow good luck with the sale.

        good answer

not so many younger gents looking for a project..

Baby Boomers have their car and/or  are downsizing

Your pricing is fair, but your customers are few

I agree with the "above" gang. Your price "seems fair" but a limited buyers market. Think you would be better to at least get it running. Also I think you are limited to a Cdn. market as the US Pontiac is a diff. ANIMAL & may not have too much interest[ mid 50's & up different story] I'm into my 52 Torpedo back for "way" more than intended at this stage of build, [paid less than 1/2 your price, & now double of yours] there are only a scarce few that see the potential in these cars for "Street Rods" & a restored one will not bring the return you need to get out of it!!! Just not a "big" buck car, you can have "more "than it's worth in it,but have to love the car before you start!!!!!

I do understand guys, ...and I appreciate your words of wisdom, when I bouight the car it was not as an investment. I knew it was rare and seriously thought I was the person who would "save" it. Many thanks! Greg
