1964 Pontiac Custom Sport Convertible

Hi,

I own a '64 Pontiac Custom Sport convertilbe with a factory M20 and tachometer, buckets.  Does anyone know where I can purchase a park brake kit for this car?  I require the front cable, intermediate cable, spring for park brake pedal and the necessary hardware to hook things together.  Thanks for any help offered.  Pritch

Wow, that is beautiful...

283 or 327?

If you say 409, I'm gonna fall out of my chair!

Well, it did have a 327.  However, it was a tired 327.  Sitting in my garage is a 350 4 bolt main Dart block with Dart heads.  I have installed a 396 stroker kit which brings it to 500hp.  It has an aluminum intake, Holley 670 street avenger, ceramic headers, etc.  I am currently having the Pont repainted.  I also have a complete new interior (white seville grain) which I purchased from NOS reproductions.

Thanks rabbitt64CS.  I'll keep you posted regarding the park brake search.  Does the car you are stripping have the end caps for the rocker moulding chrome?  I require the end caps for both sides in front of the rear wheels and at the back just before the rear bumper.  Regards.

I'm glad you made it here Pritch. Welcome aboard!
We'd love to see more photos of your car. Have you sent your info to GM Historical? They can tell you how many 4 speed 64 Convertibles were made.

Thanks.  Not a bad idea at all to re-cast those end caps!

Hi 67 custom,

Thanks.  This is an original Sask. car which I purchased for $100.00 from my cousin from Grenfell, Sask. back in 1975.  I've known this car since he purchased it in 1969.  It's been a part of our family since then.

Welcome aboard! That was what I was going to suggest.. If Roger can help, great... If not, there are many wreckers around this area that may help you as well... Also, Chevrolet cars of that era will have the same pieces you require.......

Yes I did, and I would be willing to help everyone with a '64 CS out. The only thing is, I don't think little old PEI has any facilities to do them ... I'd have to send them somewhere, and take a chance that I get them back.

Probably the safest bet would be to get a 3d printing of Darryl's parts and make the molds from those. Darryl, there might be a company in Charlottetown with a laser scanner and 3d printer.

Oh forgot to mention you would likely need GM's blessing on this!

'64 Custom Sport Chrome end caps

Wow, Darryl,

Just seeing a picture of those shiny rocker panel end caps made my day!  I can hardly imagine owning a new set.  I agree that we should pursue the idea of getting a few sets made.  Very nice.!
