Hello folks and friends, so i cant believe the news i just got tonight.My friend Dean who is going to get the 66 Canso for me tomorrow tells me that the car isnt going to my shop its going to his shop. Dean being an expert welder fabricater has deceided that he wants to weld in the new floors and the new quarter panel skin as his contribution to my new project and told me it will be done for my birthday at the end of this month.WOW!! Im still in disbelief. So ill take pics of the car tomorrow at Deans shop not mine.We will still have to load all the parts from the car to the box of my truck and take them to my shop.I get by with ALOT of help from my friends.

Well that is exciting stuff. Obviously you have been a good friend to them too or they wouldn't be offering to do something like this for you. Good that you can still get good news even though not being in your favorite place. Hang in there.

it was really nice to finially met jimmy and his bud dean , jimmy is a great guy and a real fighter ,man comming out here in the pissing rain . hope all goes well with his foot .

Hello folks and friends ,so Dean and i did make the trip out to see Shawn with trailer in tow on a ugly rainy day.It was great to meet Shawn, in my opinion a real stand up guy and someone who really loves the auto restoration hobby.Dean and i spent some time talking but not enough as i was having a real hard time with this day pass as it took alot out of me. Im half the man i use to be, this last 2 months have just about killed me. I look at a picture of me now and i can see the 30 lbs ive lost and how weak i have become.Thank you Shawn for all the help you gave my friend Dean with loading and tarping the car.Dean my friend, how can i ever repay you for the 12 hour day you put in for me today, looking like a drowned rat at the end of the day.I love you my friend and when i am well i will return this back to you 10 fold.Jimmy PS the guy in my first pic on the right, back end of the car is Dean.

Hello Todd, how long in the hospital?.There discussing now a few more different surgery procedures,min 2.5 weeks, max 8 more weeks.I cant take 8 more weeks in here,ill ask to cut the toe off and be home in 3 weeks before ill stay 8 more weeks in here,ill end up going crazy first if i had to spend 2 more months in here.

Hello folks and friends,so my friends did an inventory of the 66 parts and brought them today to my shop.Dean also took notes on all body parts(sheet metal to be replaced ).I will order all new metal tomorrow and the 66 Acadian Canso SD resto will begin tomorrow night.I might end up painting the 66 and 67 Canso SD s at the same time.Pics comming by friday of 66 resto. Hello folks and friends.so i just wanted to keep you all up to date, after looking the car over and Dean and i deceided that the drivers side quarter could be fixed with a little cutting and welding and mud, but we both looked at each other and said this is going to be another killer Acadian so the New quarter skin was picked up today and dropped off at Deans.We both agree it will be a nicer cleaner job in the end, it will just make for a cleaner, straighter car.There will be pics nrxt week.cheers Jimmy
