Chip Foose would be the wrong guy to ask about originality, customized ,yes. It doesn't look period correct to me, but then again I'm old and dont have $60k to throw away on a Chevelle.
very neat car, according to the Chevelle site only one 69 US Chevelle was ever built with 4.10's, wonder how many CDN 4.10 3 speed manuals were built , probably one, I was checking out a black original paint 18,000 mile original 4.10 car out , not orig engine of course, but it sold for under 40
The first time I saw this car was at the Can Am Chevelle show when it was in Stratford. The main picture in the ad is from that same show.
A couple things that stood out to me too when I saw it were the ZL3 SS conversion, the MC1 (no option ordered) transmission, the 4:10 gear and no power steering.
A rare car in Canada for sure.
I know that Bill's 69 SD was a 4:10 gear car. It has a 4 speed but likely one of the few if not the only SD built with it.
