And to think I almost didn't post this one for fear I'd get flamed!

Jeez how was I to know when I woke up this morning I would learn so much about '70 and a half Falcons.

It's a beautiful thing! Thanks, the brochure rocks, Mark.

I would take that yellow one that is for sale on ebay, painted silver, with a six! Love the Ford dog dishes of that era.

Hey, someone should start a thread on different dog dishes. Huh!

About 20-25 years ago I tried to buy a 70 Torino Cobra, local car , from the 2nd owner. ( The car was special ordered by woman!) It was a stripped down Cobra, bench seat 4 speed, dark green paint, stamped wheels with the center hub cap, kind of like Ford's 1970 version of the Chev ralley wheel. Power was from a 429 SCJ with shaker, 4:30 9 inch rear. Still had the rev limiter and oil cooler. The car sat out evry winter with the Shaker uncovered! disbelief

Of course he was going to fix it up, the unibody floor pan ended up rotted out, probably like the car in this post, as it also sat on grass all the time.

It's possibly still around, but it would be a donor car I would think.

I remember seeing a nice factory 429SCJ Falcon for sale back around 1979 or 1980 in Hamilton. It was very clean & straight, was burgundy with a factory shaker, had skinny Cragar S/S wheels up front & wider ones out back, plus it had a genuine Kenny Kay mural on the trunk lid (he painted a lot of vans & showcars around the Hamilton area back then).

Here is my friend Charlies' car:

Yes...that's the car I mentioned early in the post. And I'm mistaken about the engine. The guy (who had bought it) worked in the lab at Dofasco and he commissioned me to do a drawing of the car around 82'. I hated that Kenny Kay mural. Later in the 80's I believe I met the original owner of that car as well. It was one sweet car.
