Throttle linkage

Hi guys,

I want to change over the stock throttle linkage to a cable system. Is there another car that was equipped with a cable system I could get one from you can suggest with all necessary items such as brackets, etc... before I go with something aftermarket?

Thanks

Tony

Is the throttle arm on a 66'Canso the same for a 6 cylinder as it was for a V8 car back then?

Not according to what I've experienced and the parts book says different as well.

I've got an issue with clearance between the back of a set of new sheet metal valve covers I installed and the current original throttle arm on the car. I trimmed the throttle arm to work but it looks and feels sloppy. The car was an original 6 cylinder car and so I thought maybe about converting it to a cable system, as I've been digging into it, I read somewhere that the throttle arms were different on 6 and 8 cylinder models. I thought maybe I'd look at that first.
