Removing steering box

What i was told was to pull the drivers seat as far back as possible to
allow the shaft to drop down to the floor and come out past the brake master cyl
was tricky for me because of the power brake dual cyl. I had to remove the pivot points
for the throttle and gas . once i did that it come out past the master cyl.

from above not from below.

Hi guys,

I have a new steering box to go into my 66' Canso. The box I bought new actually has the shaft attached to it. Any input on how the the orignal box comes out, does it drop out from the bottom, do I have to pull a header, etc...

Thank you

Tony
