pete is a good friend of mine, he restores cars for a living. he built this car a few years ago and it is very nice. if memory serves the only thing i would do to this car is replace the rear side panels (door) he has taken this car to the syracuse nationals the last few years and they go crazy over this car.

Clone or not, isn't 25k a little low for a car of what appears to be of very high quality?

Friend of mine has a 65 here in London with a 427 4 speed. Was a California car and he has many cars. He is really a cool guy, and its a smiliar color if not same colour. But needs paint. Out of his fleet of cars its my fav. I love big ole bigblock cars bench w 4 speeds. Something about these cars that i love. Not so belly button if ya know what I mean.

Is this Pete Taft's car? If it is then you know it is the best of the best. In my humble opinion a suberb car for very little money, even for todays tough times. You could never build a car of this caliber for any where near that kind of money. I hope he gets what he wants. Man what a sweet piece of machinery. Cheers. George.

These two sweet muscle dream machines on here for that kind of bargain prices just reflects on our tough economic times. You could never build either one of these beauties for anywhere near that kind of money. Both these cars especially the 1966 are low priced even in todays times. It is kind of sickening to see these sweet cars go so cheap especailly the 1966. I hope these guys get what they are asking because offering any less would be criminal and an insult. Cheers. George.

I e-mailed him for interior shots

His (Petes) buddy, just bought Andy McDonalds 66 454 2 door white Biscayne and Andys 66 454 wagon   small world

I love the car but for 25g want a little more comfort   The no power steering, no power brakes, soft bench seat, is not fun on a long drive, on a HOT day when your 6 decades old

Very nice car in real need of a set of redline tires

I think I'd be more surprised to see one of these with their 6 cylinder in it still these days !

Ha Ha. how true Ken! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

A friend of mine brought a similar car back from Carlisle 1 1/2 yrs. ago and is changing it over to BBC power. It's a BelAir but looks the same as the Biscayne.

I like to look at them but have no desire to drive a no P/S, P/B, A/C,O/D, drum brake car anymore.

I guess men had more guts in those days and because of it far more glory. Hang on, say a prayer or two and then live to tell the tale to your grand kids. George.

I think that beauty is just fine the way it is, even though i love red lines. Pete Taft could not have done any better a job. She is just PERFECT. I totally agree about the 6 cylinder comment but you hotroders just have to have your extra ponies do'nt you. 150 H.P just is not enough for you guys, you got to get out that 450 H.P. to satisfy that primal urge, then you got to worry about stopping that beast somehow. These cars of the past just reflect on how much more guts people had in the past. Cheers. George.

You are probably right George but lets remember what those guys went through, My old man did Convoy duty in the North Atlantic and my Grandfathers both were wounded in action in France. I have an uncle who fought in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam with two Purple Hearts......more guts.....Hell I'd say so.

Back in the day I'm sure they were quite the sleeper. These days you expect them to have a BB 4 speed no more sleeper

Nice car...very nice car. I guess though at the end of the day it's 'only worth' what someone's willing to pay and what the seller is prepared to accept. When I bought mine (all original) 8 years ago I paid considerably more. The person who buys this car for 25K is lucky.

Quote; 'Imagine flying down the road in that heavy '66, 427, 4-speed and you have to stop hard ... manual brakes, single master.'

I can tell you no truer words have been spoken....ask me how I know. Even with metallic brake shoes you really have to stand on the brake pedal to get her slowed down, stopping is a planned event.

??????? You can't be serious, are you?

Would a well rebuilt 427 and 4 speed with all the bells not be worth at least 12k anyway?

 Which one?

I would actually like to find a real nice one that needed engine/tranny.

I would take the 496 and 5 speed out of the Beaumont and slam it in this. Then take the 406 and M22W 4 speed I have on the stands in the garage and back into the Beau. I

Do you still watch black and white TV ???

We all remeber the days when we were young,                 but we are old and spoiled...

Those old standard cars are great to drive  This gorgeous car would great to park in the garage to show off....  but a pain to drive   You must be very young
