As some of you know last weekend i hit the mainland and purchased a skylark rag from Kim.He picked me up at the boat, took me to the insurance office, made sure i was happy and sold me the car at a VERY reasonable price. The engine sounded a lil tired but i was ok with that.Well the car died on the way home and Kim was not happy with that.Today there was a check in the mail for a very reasonable amount towards repairs. He was under no obligation to do that at all.I would like to thank Kim and of course Leuger for their hospitality and everything else they did for me that day.I will top this off with a donation to this site.THANX KIM!
That is really a awesome thing to do, cars people are the best. That buick will be a neat car to restore ,just dont see them at any shows very unique. I have lots of faith in the hobby , reading this just keeps us all going .
Great job Kim , after we spoke that night I could hear it in your voice you were upset about what happened to Tim.
I meet Kim about 3 years ago because of this site and I am proud to say he has become a good friend of mine and he is the type of guy who is only a phone call away if you ever needed something, as you know Kim I am the same!!
Wow.Its so refreshing to see that there are still some great people out there. My father passed away feb 25 from parkinsons and as the executor i see the worst in some people. Some gave me a whole day to mourn.Hearing stories like Kims makes me very happy.

Sorry about your father Randy. I hope things are a bit better for you now.
I hear you...
My wife's father (Carl) passed away last spring, and it took less than 24 hours for people to come sniffing around for stuff. Neighbours stating, "Carl said I can have his boat motor" Asking me; "What's going to happen to Carl's Kubota?" "Are you selling Carl's truck"?
Disgusting! I was burning inside ... but it was not my place, and it was the wrong time to "go off" on someone I barely knew.

Its amazing how perfect strangers can be nicer than people you have known all your life....way to go thanks for sharing a great story. So sorry for your loss Swift1960.
Thanks for the kind words. I treat people the way I want to be treated. I'm coming over there when you finish the car. We can snuggle on the bench seat
Nice story Timbuk, that Kim sounds like a class act. Randy, sorry about your dad and what you went through. When you go through times like that, it's stories like these that restore your faith in people....thankfully there are a lot of stories of guys like these in this little car community.
No prob Tim you should of grabbed one , it was a little early for me start having some!! Also I wanted to enjoy the permit on the car that day so that was a no brainner!! You have heard how my car sounds!!
