...yeah, when you have those coil spacers in there the car rides higher and it also rides a lot harder too. I did that many moons ago (when I was a teenager) with my second car, a '57 Fairlane, in which the springs were shot, but I had to take them out 'cause the thing rode like a truck (actually, worse...!)...give me the dope on the engine when you get a sec..

Did some cleaning and alot of sanding Sunday, added some orange to the engine. Looks better. The rear wheel opening had some rust over the lip. So I cut it out, weld in new, sand and paint. No Bondo all metal work.

Nice job on the engine!

I always like what Bill did to customize the rally caps.

Brian, what process did you use to clean up the engine compartment? Did you use spray degreaser/powerwash or mostly elbow grease..?

Looks great! Cam going in this week?

Engine bay was sprayed with degreaser a few times, then power washed with my gas washer, then sanding, priming, more sanding, finally orange paint. The inner splash panels will be removed and sprayed with my gun. Cam and MSD HEI will go in later (after this weekend at Chris's BBQ).

The spinners on the end caps will stay. Bill had a good idea there. You have to cut-off the ends to make it work.

Paint is done in spray bomb. Give a sample to your body shop materials supplier and they will make-up a match for you in a spray bomb.

Had some Corvette chamber pipes. So they were dug out of my storage and the old exploded mufflers were cut-off and the chamber pipes put on. It's not quiet anymore.

It sure did Chris. We were up in Orillia today with good friends along they took videos and the new very distinguishable exhaust note on their camera. Be nice to see the video.

I guess a few guys have seen Brian's car in person and last Wednesday was my turn. I was very impressed with the car and Brian's work. As usual CP guys are nicer in person as are their wives too. We enjoyed a nice dinner and evening out. Brian's wife and Mary and I come from East York so we had plenty to chat about and reminisce

I have found a good 63 Parisienne, Red of course in Midland. I will get some pics posted when I get home.

....Brian, we've got glasspak straight-throughs on ours, which sound very nice but those chamber pipes must be awesome!! Give us some sound Brian! BTW, my son just removed the mufflers (and about 100 lbs. of weight) and installed Porsche mandrel-bent straight pipes on his 911..man can you ever hear that thing comin' now!

As far as I know it is factory ride height as all the springs and shocks ordered were stock listings. Not sure if it's an illusion of the original 14x5 rims. But I often wonder myself Thanks for the compliment. I'll have to look at your also when I get on a computer but same with your on my phone. Mine is a 327 250hp
