Does anyone know the weight of my 64 convertable?  I got a new toy (car lift)(pictures to come) and want to make sure I don't go over capacity.  Thanks

I know when I weighed my '67 Grande, she was @4100lbs. What is the capacity of the lift?

As a guess, I'd think it must come in around 4300 but maybe someone who actually has weighed one will chime in here.

lift capacity is 9000lbs, but it is a tandem ie two cars at the same time....so I have to be careful what goes up together since the rest of my fleet is pretty heavy too!

The shipping weight of 1964 Bonneville is 3,985 LBS. (we'll say 4,000 to make it easier.) So, it's probably a pretty safe guess to say the Parisienne should be around the same amount.

 was that the rag top?  I was under the assumption the rag tops were heavier than the rest?

Yes, actually, that was the rag top. Believe it or not, the wagon was 4,275 LBS. The wagons were a bit heavier, probably from all the extra glass.

I found a page that said 64 Impala convert shipping weight was somewhere around 3400 lbs. I don't think I believe 3400 can be correct.

My single drive-on is rated for 8,000lbs. It lifts my 64cs my 67 Toronado (5,000) no problem. They are great to have for service work or storage in the winter.

Curb weight on a 67 V8 Parisienne convertible is 3850 lbs. Add fluids to that, and you'd be safe at 4000. I got this from the brochure.

         go to land fill or feed mill, and weigh it

 A 64 Bonneville will be A LOT heavier than a 64 Parisienne......

 Perimeter frame...longer wheelbase & o/a length vs X-frame & Parisienne shorter length.

389 with roto hydro? vs 283 & a glide...

Found a posted shipping weight for a 64 V8 Impala convert @ 3525 & your Parisienne would have been VERY CLOSE to that when NEW.

I'd say,it would scale @ about 3800lbs. (maybe LESS?)   JMO

If yours is an 283 8 cyl. here is the definative answer (from my '64 Canadian Pontiac Technical Specifications Manual)

 

Shipping weight:

Parisienne         283 8 cyl. - 3625lbs.

Parisienne CS    283 8 cyl. - 3655lbs.

Common accessories weight

AC +125lbs.

Power Brakes +10lbs.

Less Heater -22lbs.

Radio (manual) +7lbs.

Radio (push button) +9lbs.

Power Seats +22lbs.

Power Steering +30lbs.

Powerglide Transmission +18lbs.

Power Windows +19lbs.

 

I have weights (and all other specs.) for every '64 7000 series model. Just ask. biggrin
