If you click the "GP" in the first post in this thread, you'll see more pics and a few scant details:

Automatic - 2 Dr - Original paint - very good working engine with 10k on it. Nothing needed - may trade for a truck.

Actually, it wasn't the '68's, it was the '67's they hit the home run on...This was the second year for those lines...

CARL, KEN! you hear that.. home run which means out of the park!!!The '66's were like shallow , more ways than one, left field!!! wink

I tend to agree - my order of favorites in the Canadian GP lneup is 67, 66, 68, 69. But I like them all. I also like all of the US GPs from 62-68. I had a 63, nearly bought a 65 and wish I had a 62 now ... or a 67 rag ... or any 65-66 421 car ...

Nah, we won't settle this talking about sissy stuff like baseball. We'll settle it like men do, we'll drag race.

Now, let's see. Best thing to do would be we get 2 stock B body Pontiacs, a 66 and a 67. Hmmm, the 67 camp has a hydraulic lifter 427 with 385 horse. Ouch, pretty impressive. Oh wait, I forgot. In 66, WE had an L72 solid lifter 427 with 425 horse. What's that you say??? You guys never got a solid lifter 427 in 67??? Awww, that's too bad guys. Enjoy our tailights, especially the 66 Grande Parisienne tailights. There was a reason they designed the most beautiful tail panel ever for the 66 Grande Parisiennes.

Sorry about that Vince...... better luck next time

"There was a reason they designed the most beautiful tail panel ever for the 66 Grande Parisiennes."

I can't argue against that point Carl. But then again the taillight design on any 63-67 Canadian or US GP is outstanding.

(lol) Figured that would get a rise out of you! But then again, me not being on this earth in '66 I can't compare those hp ratings.... Besides, how could I, there isn't a BB left in any Canadian Poncho within a 700 mile radius of the Pembina Triangle to compare to!

Now, riddle me this, the reason they dropped the solid lifter 427 for '67 is why?

There's no denying Pontiac styling, I have to agree.

But just between you and me John, Vince needs to get "prodded" occasionally....

I've often wondered that too. One guess would be poor (to almost nil) sales in 66 but how tough would it have been to build one if someone wanted it?

I'll take a 67 GP wagon bench seat 4 speed solid lifter 427 please. How cool would that be...

And Vince, if you weren't on this earth yet you must have been just about ready to start swimming by then! Seems to me you mentioned once that you are over 40.

I'll take any 67 GP wagon in rust free condition - if one could be found. BB preferred but with these cars now you have to take what you can get.
