Ray thanks for starting this great post. I have always loved vintage inliners. I am old enough to remember the "Stormin Six" Camaro drag car and it blowing the doors off of V8's on a regular basis. As a kid growing up in the sixties and seventies i bought HOTROD, CARCRAFT, POPULAR HOTRODDING, SUPER STOCK AND DRAG ILLUSTRATED and some other less known magazines. I remember many of these inliner drag cars because of the car magazines that i owned and still own. For anyone interested, there is a great internet site called INLINERS INTERNATIONAL. This club caters to all four, six and eight cylinder inliner motors. The club is open to all vintage inliners but is mostly Chevrolet and GMC six inliners. It is an interesting site to check out and they have been active as an organization since 1981. I wish i knew how to post photos of some of these great inliner drag cars like a dragster with a Buick straight eight all done up that raced Indy Nationals in around 1968.
