Lol. No worries Kim. No trailer queen here. Cars are meant to drive... When it's not raining.

Hey Kim. You can throw beer cans at me anytime... as long as they're full beer cans that is. Not the car though.

The passenger door was pretty rotten in the bottom corner , where they all rot out. Someone years back fiberglassed it all up. We ground it all out and this is the hole we were left with! We called Dave the Tinman but he had no doors in stock , so I left Mike up to the challenge of making his own patches here, a total of 5 , pretty tough job to recreate from scratch and he did a awesome job on it!!!

More pics to come as we finish the drivers quarter and both fenders need patch work , then she's off to the body mans place!!

Thanks for everything Kevin. I couldn't have done it without you. Yes, we've come along way and I'm loving every moment that I get to work on my car. Too bad we have to stop soon and let you move. Lueger's speed shop will be closed forever.

Well last night we finished up all the metal work on the GTO , it was picked up by the body man this morning! Lots of fun we had and it will be my last resto for a while. We had a total of 100 hours each into the job and it turned out really well. The body man asked us if we wanted to do some sublet metal work for him!!! Here is some pics, next pics will be the body/paint work!

Hi Tim. Looks like you're doing some tin bashing there yourself. The last time we posted pics of the final metal work and rust repair all done and being towed to Norm's, my body man / painter. Thing was a couple nights before while we were doing repairs to the floor there was an incident were a screwdriver revealed a rotten rocker and left a pile of dust on the floor. Problem was that we couldn't repair it without lifting the body to get at it and the body bushing were on back order. We decided that we would have to fix it a Norm's since Kevin moved and Norm was ready. So while we waited Norm went to town on the body sanding, welding, heat shrinking dura-glassing the welds and priming. I spent some time at Norm's getting it ready to lift the body by disconnecting the steering column, cables and linkages etc. I went to crack the body bolts and most of them broke.no I cut little doors in the trunk and floor to access the nuts for easy re-welding. When Kevin came out we had a heck of a time fixing the rockers and patching the floor but finally I can say that my car is RUST FREE. Yeah! biggrinI've been back a couple times to do some fixes like replacing the shifter cable. Turns out they don't stretch too good when you lift the body. OOPS. Norm is doing an awesome job. The lines are amazing and he's skinned blocked and primed it at least 5 times. He hopes to get it into the paint booth by March.

Right on Mike ya that was fun lifting the body up enough to get room to fix the inner rockers but we did it! We both got over a hundred hours each into the car! Post some pics from Norms place and show the CP gang it's looking sweet!!!!!!!
