My 58 Parisienne

Thanks all!! Yes, she was at the Stouffville motorfest this year. My shop had a little display there with some of my handiwork ;) She does have a couple warts here and there, but for being painted sometime in the mid-70's, I think she's awful purdy!

And DualQuadPete....I saw your 51(?) there parked right on the road...was drooling all over it smile

I think some of the prettiest cars ever built where from the late fifties. Just a nice looking car. Love it!

i noticed you have a ballast resistor and a hei distributor. when i put a hei in my 55 gmc w 283 the mechanic said to take out the resistor because the hei needs the full charge. i'm not a mechanic but thats how the truck has been running for the last 5 years

HEI works better without the ballast resister. HEI needs constant 12 volts when the ignition is in the run position. Beautiful car, the "old school" look rules.

Thanks again, all. As far as the ballast resistor goes, it's more of a junction block at this point. There is actually very little voltage drop thru it. Besides, the car has been running just fine this way for almost 20 years now, so....if it ain't broke....confuse
