Before this gets too crazy (as usual) let us know your budget, that is very important.

I'll concur. A budget would allow those of us that want to live vicariously through your wallet an opportunity to offer a more sensible response.

Engine swap was done for under $1,600 including beverages and help from 427Carl, Canadian Poncho and 65Camino and advice from Willie too. Add $360 for Radiator for a total transformation of the car for under $2,000.

I concur, even though it is especially nice having the only BIG BLOCK LeMans around, my prototype can easily be replicated in a Canadian LeMans that originally came with Chevrolet small block power. Doing a Pontiac engine in a Canadian car is complex because everything is backwards in the engine compartment and has to be switched over, Harness will not work, engine mounts will not work and Transmission will not work. Once you get into a new trans and drive shaft and new engine mounts and points plus switch everything underhood to the other side your $5,000 will be insufficent. When I say everything I mean battery, radiator outlets, coolant over flow alternator. The washer bottle stays in the same place though.

Justin, did your car come with the 350? I knew of at least two Cup cars when I was in Edmonton. My info dates back to about 2002. One got flogged on eBay and Kijiji, it had around 10,000 miles on it - the other one was owned by a guy who worked at an auto trans shop on 82 av and about 71 st. The latter was a 350 car and was in nice shape with color matched aftermarket wheels.

A 350 2bbl is was a mandatory engine for the GT equipment. It could be optioned with a 4bbl as well, both Chevy power. The Pontiac 400 was also available however next to none were built.
