1968 427 Parisienne Numbers Matching Available for Sale Still First $5000 owns it.

Hi, I still have the 1 of 17 68 Parisienne 427/385 coupe for sale if anybody's interested. It's located in Clearwater, Florida.

I have about $12K into it.

It could be yours and it is extremely rear.

Photos are elsewhere on this board.

Thanks all.

I wish you could find a Canadian owner for it

I would bet if you priced it at  500.00  you'd still hear silence

Market is tuff

Everyone with money has a garage full of cars,

and anyone with a project is still working on it..

anyone with a dream of a project, has no surplus funds......

1968 Parisienne 427  regrettably for sale

Extremely rare, as in 1 of 17, Parisienne.

I'll start with the bad to get it out of the way. Bottom end sheet metal is shottypical northern salt roads, etc. by shot, I mean inner and outer rockers, floor pans, braces, shock towers, trunk and tail panel. There may be more rust damage, but that's what I can see. Frame has hole in it on passenger side.

Turbo 400 leaks if the car sits for months without driving it, a common characteristic of the tranny. Tires are driver quality, but nothing special.

Now that you've heard the bad, the good is actually great.

I'm the second owner, car has its original 427  engine, air cleaner, manifolds, fresh .060 over rebuild, original heads, original carb, it is really complete.

Car is documented 1 of 17 by GM of Canada. Low options, power steering, brakes.

Interior is driver quality, unrestored, better than you'd expect for a 40+ year old car. It looks like the carpet's been changed, but not the seats, dash, etc.

Original owner put Chevy Rallyes on it when new and a Buick tach. I added an aluminum radiator after the rebuild to keep the big 427 running cool.

Rat Boy knows someone in Canada with money and he will try and convince that person to buy this.

The scary thing about the price dropping so low to facilitate the sale is that someone will buy it and part it out.

Ya, 5 grand is getting close to "parting it out" but still too much [IMOP] to put into it with rust & frame issues!!! Could become the "Can of worm's" we all talk about!! + getting it back up here won't be cheap either.

Rat Boy promises that he will tell the person he knows no parting out.

It would be a good car for someone who has the talents to restore it themselves. CP member "RareChev" comes to mind.

Since the price is right, but some emails have asked about shipping, I'll chip in $200 off the $5000 price to go to shipping costs for a sale by February 15.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks,

Chris
