No, the case I have is a single bop pattern. I'll have to dig in the shed and double check, its been 12 years or so since I looked at it.

You guys have it 'pretty well" covered except that the Chvy P/G will have the starter hole on the wrong side & the no place on the dr. side!! Doubt the flex plate would line up with T/conv. either?? But seeing as it won't fit anyway it's "MOOT"

sorry , when I read it the first time.. I read 60's powerglide, not 1960. Yes , then it would be a cast glide. not gonna work...

looking for a transmission for my 1960 Ventura. It has the early

I no longer have it. I don't want to get another one because it
will cost too much to rebuild and parts are harder to find. I
also don't want to spend $550 on an adapter to fit a TH350 to it.
So, I am thinking about a Powerglide. Can anyone tell me what
specific type of Powerglide I will need to bolt up to my engine?
Thanks a lot!

INSTALLING A POWERGLIDE ENTAILS THE
SAME DIFFICULTIES AS A TURBO-HYDRO. STILL NEED AN
ADAPTER, STILL NEED A CONVERTER, STILL NEED A STARTER SOLUTION,
SHIFT LINKAGE SOLUTION, etc. THE
ONE ADVANTAGE OF A 'GLIDE IS THAT FOR RACING, THEY
ARE SUPERIOR TO MOST OF THE EARLY
TURBO-HYDROs... IF YOU'RE NOT READY TO SPEND
A COUPLE OF THOUSAND DOLLARS, SUGGEST YOU LOCATE A
USED SUPERHYDRAMATIC IN GOOD SHAPE, OR ELSE SELL THE CAR...
