1977 GP Exhaust Manifold

Welcome aboard. The American parts are carried by the big American Pontiac houses, Ames and Performance Years, You can probably find a new one on ebay as well.  I wouldn't waste any energy on welding a cracked manifold. I had a pair that would have worked but sold them at Route 66 cruise in August.

Hi To all. This is my first post.

I have an ultra clean  '77 GP (400 cid), and the LHS exhaust manifold is cracked. I believe the GM part number is 499623.

1. Are the 1977 400 CID Firebird exhaust manifolds the same as the GP ?

2. Where can I purchase a (preferably new) exhaust manifold ?

3. Has anybody had any luck welding an exhaust manifold ?

Thanks,

M....

Welcome here.

Yes, welding a manifold is a waste of time and money, don't try it.

the 1977 400 CID Firebird exhaust manifolds are the same as the GP. If you want new ones, you can get repro ones from RARE (Ram Air Restorations), or they're resold through most major US resto companies like Ames and Performance Years.
