1969 Beaumont wipers problems

Hi Mike, sounds like you need the adaptor plate that goes between the wiper motor and firewall. Had a customer a while back with same issue and that what it was. It mounts with the same patern and when you mount the motor on it shifts it around a few inches and VOILA it works. Not all the cars have this and I've never figured out which ones did or didn't. Maybe Carl or someone would, but look into that, it may be your prob. d.

Was standard only on the custom model. Was not standard on the Deluxe and Beaumont trim cars.Might have been available as option c24. Was wondering how they made it happen. Sounds like the adaptor plate does the job.

hey guys, just got my car back from the electrical shop, they checked my wiper motor and its working, the switch was worn out and the spare switch i had dosnt seem to work either, they are going to see if they can fix one of the 2 switches. What I did notice is when the tech checked the motor, it worked on slow speed and high speed but when it was shut off and went to the stowed position the wiper is still 3 or 4 inches above the lower part of the windsheild. they though it might be the wrong mechanism or wiper arms, anyone ever run into this problem ?? anyone have a 2 speed switch they will sell me ?? thanks guys
